''Restoration of trade order and sanity''


The following post is a timeline of events over the last 10 days that followed the tragic death of a female vendor downtown Kampala. This episode has since sparked off various other concerns and issues surrounding the spaces vendors are permitted to use and the harsh enforcement vendors regularly face from the council for trading in non-designated areas of the city.

News paper clipping - Vendor, Olivia Basemera, passed away after falling into the Nakivubo channel whilst running away from the local councils law enforcement officers. A number of vendors gathered together and marched to the councils head offices protesting the case.
